Do you accept health insurance?

Most of our therapists do accept health insurance. When you call to schedule your first appointment, we will ask you for your insurance information so that we can contact your insurance company to learn more about your benefits. We have therapists who are currently in-network with:

  • Cigna
  • United Healthcare
  • Oscar
  • Optum
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO
  • Aetna PPO
  • Tricare East
  • We are not considered in-network with any HMO plans.
What if my Therapist isn't in-network with my health insurance plan?

We often work with clients as Out-of-Network Providers. Our office provides Courtesy Billing to make it easy to apply for reimbursement for services. Clients are billed at the time of service and our billing specialists submit a claim to your insurance company. If you are eligible for reimbursement by your insurance company, they will pay you directly.

What are your fees?

Fees vary by provider and service. All of our therapists offer a private pay fee and many providers offer reduced, sliding scale fees for those with financial need. Our front office can tell you more and match you with a therapist who specializes in your area of concern: 210-314-2026 or [email protected]

WILL THERE BE A DIFFERENCE IN COVERAGE BETWEEN TESTING AND THERAPY?

Yes, therapy services are often covered by insurance companies as routine office visits. Testing services are sometimes not considered routine, therefore your insurance may require a referral or pre-authorization before the testing process can begin.

Can I set up a payment plan?

Of course! Our Office Manager, Marcela will help arrange a payment plan that works best for you. Just email [email protected] or call us at 210-314-2026.

How often will I see my therapist?

The frequency of sessions varies depending on each individual's specific needs. However, sessions are typically once a week and last 50 minutes. Arrangements can be discussed with your clinician for changes in time and frequency. There are clients that require sessions that are twice a week, biweekly, or once a month.

This is my first time seeking counseling. What does a typical session look like?

We offer appointments both through telehealth and in-office. During your first session, your therapist will want to learn about your history, concerns, and goals for treatment. Our approach is collaborative and responsive to the unique needs of each of our clients, while also bringing extensive, evidence-based interventions to our work together.

Do you offer intensives?

Intensive Therapy sessions can be a great opportunity for a client and clinician to do a deep dive when clients would benefit from additional time and space. An Intensive is like a regular counseling session, but it can last up to 2-3 hours. These are available upon request to your clinician.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require a minimum of 24-hours notice prior to your appointment to cancel without a fee. Same-day cancellations and no-call-no-shows will result in a $75 fee. To avoid this, please make sure to reach out to us or to your clinician via email or phone call. We understand that there are days in which unexpected things happen (i.e. illness, family emergency, work scheduling, etc.). Your clinician may reduce/waive the fee for one unexpected late cancellation or no-show.

Do you prescribe medication?

At this time, we do not provide psychiatric services. We can provide assistance in finding referrals for an available psychiatrist or nurse practitioner in the area. To inquire about help, you can call us at (210) 314-206. Your insurance will also provide you with assistance in finding psychiatric services in your area.
